Martin Howse is occupied with an artistic investigation of the links between the earth (geophysical phenomena), software and the human psyche (psychogeophysics), proposing a return to animism within a critical misuse of scientific technology. Through the construction of experimental situations (within process-driven performance, laboratories, walks, and workshops), material art works and texts, Martin Howse explores the rich links between substance or materials and execution or protocol, excavating issues of visibility and of hiding within the world. For the last ten years he has collaborated on numerous open-laboratory style projects and performed, published, lectured and exhibited diversely. He is equally the creator of the skin-driven audio divination module, aka. The Dark Interpreter.
David Bremer tillverkades på nyårsfesten 1975/76. Som litet människobarn var han mycket tyst. 1982 började han föra oväsen med kassettbandspelare, preparerat piano och cykeltuta. Började scratcha med ihopknycklad flexisingel (Samantha Fox) 1986.
Sedan dess har det knappt hänt någonting alls, utom att han har utökat sin Samantha-samling med en mängd kalendrar, klistermärken och FiB Aktuellt-kassetter, samt finslipat hantverket. Det är hans egen förhoppning att kunna förevisa prov på det senare ikväll. Det är även vår.
Torbjörn Bellind – Östgötajord (humus ostrogothica), Improvisation, ca 15 min, for morin khuur (horse head fiddle) + electronics. The dark, heavy, muddy soil – the forests, fields and cliffs of my origin, beg for my attention.
Improvisation on various portable setups form the foundation of Torbjörn Bellind’s output. The modular synthesizer is his main instrument; an ever changing platform of sonic possibilities. Known to perform as KNYST within these realms. In recent years, percussion and stringed instruments have also become parts of his set up, mainly tam-tam (chau gong) and morin khuur (horse head fiddle).
